Domenic’s Paddock is named after the Winemaker’s father, who continues to maintain the vineyard at the ripe old age of 75. His love and passion for achieving excellence and his Italian heritage in growing wine, has enabled the Pinot Noir on this exceptional block to flourish. The deep red hue sets the scene for this ‘big’ Pinot Noir. It has multiple layers of fruit including cherries and raspberry, complemented by hints of cedar, derived from over 18 months maturation on premium seasoned French barriques.

2009 - King Valley

Matteo is named after the winemaker’s son and is the namesake of the great, great, great grandfather who established the family’s first  vineyard in central Italy, over two centuries ago.

Matteo Nebbiolo packs a punch for a medium bodied red, with flavours that linger. It has beautiful floral notes, with layers of liquored cherries dominating the palate. This varietal has a lot to offer the Australian wine enthusiast. A wonderful accompaniment to game meat and polenta or antipasti.

Grown on Boomers Gully Vineyard in Panton Hill, situated on the western fringe of the Yarra Valley, this wine expresses the terroir of this excellent block for growing shiraz. The cool climate and long maturation on the vine has created a delicate and elegant, with sweet blackberry fruit and layers of liquorice and spicy white pepper, tantalising the senses.  Maturation in new and seasoned French barriques for over 18 month has added softness and supple tannins.
